  • @OldWaysFollower I am in fact a practicing Christian, good guess. I worship God in flesh, Jesus. Perhaps that's how you view Thor? Or is he less then a god, more then a man sort of thing? To Christians, Jesus is God in the flesh, he was crucified, and Resurrection from the dead. We do view all other gods as being false and dead.

Please reply, I'd enjoy talking with someone of your knowledge and politeness and understanding...by the way, great song!

  • @OldWaysFollower That is because me and my people are of the way of "...searce the scriptures..." and not of the (catholic) way of believing without asking. Just as my ancestors thousands of years ago questing for the truth and the perfection of the divine through science. Parts of the divine we are and ebodied to the dinine we shall be. The one who freely choses to be away from that fellowship of love, for his own reasons, is considered of experiencing hell according to christians.

  • @OldWaysFollower But the most deceiving part of the western consideration of christianism derives mostly from the anglo-saxon protest.default of viewing "holly" bible and not the gospel as a guide. In americas things are far worse. Every disturbed, looser, fanatic or lunatic creates his own "church" of that god and profits from it. Once more they see god as a threat to infidels and sinners waving the penalty of death and hell no different than muslims. As you see l'm avoiding personal remarks.

  • @OldWaysFollower You seem to be in a full and complete comfusion about religions. Jehovah is a jewish god punishing and avenging people, discriminating men in blessed and damned, destroyer and anihillator of the creation, which would certainly not be the god of a christian. "...love people as you love yourself and even your enemies... all l ask from you is mercy and forgiveness to the people who hurt you and no sacrifices... " That's a suggesstion and not an order from the god of christians.

  • besides a warriors death and Valhalla sound way better that a christian death and the so called heaven. utopia looks and sounds boring. I'd rather be drinking and feasting and waiting for the coming of Ragnarok In the halls of my fathers and forefathers.

  • oldways, gotta like your style. I am the same way. Christians. pffffft! close minded sheep always following the shepherd, never looking and asking why, how and can it be proven. I am McMac in descent (Irish/Scottish) but I have more respect and belief in native american lore then in the "almighty book of truth" the bible. I see it more as guide lines to live your life. stories and tales to show what happens if you do good or evil and the fruits of those labors.

  • @deadlylock Hail The Stormbringer! He's the one who will lead his followers to victory and success, both in life and in the afterlife.

  • @Sporegalactic Hail Thor!! And Glory to Perun (Slawa Perunowi!)

  • @universe112 I don't say it's the opposite view to yours, as I personally don't see your God as a "dead" God. Nevertheless, I consider Him one of many deities, no more powerful than others. In all my doings, Slavic Gods are most important to me. I don't think Christianity is evil, but as a Heathen, I have a comfort of respecting others' Gods while staying loyal and true to my own. And the latter alone would be enough for me to

embrace Paganism, even if there was nothing else.

  • @universe112 And last, but not least, I see you Christians tend to see your God as "living God" and other Deities as "dead" or "false" gods. We Heathens don't share this view. Our Gods are not only living, we do welcome Them to our rites and most of us feel They do answer and come to our call. We do communicate Them, we ask Them for many things, sacrifice food or other precious things to Them. Our relation to our Gods is, I may say, a form of instant, continuous contact.
