I knew Danny when he lived about 8 doors away from us in the 80s... He was then based in westcliff - on - sea. He wasn't the person everyone remembered. But one night did have a jam with him good memories...

@NaughtGinger ok...it seems hard though to find a straight link between the two bands....apart from the fact that Gimour was a dedicated Green fan of course.....he did surely study his sound.....

@TheBitterSweetgr I don't know what the dislikes were listening but surely couldn't have been this guitarist- Another thing I noticed the other day while listening to the Madge Sessions was that maybe Pink Floyd got a few of their ideas from listening to early Mac-check it out and see what you think-I'm a total Danny Kirwan/Peter Green fan 4ever!

this sensitive giant 's legacy is secure. some say he is the greatest blues guitarist of all, and danny was the one who said " how can a white boy born in the 50's know about blues". he gets my vote for most wonderful and beloved of all lifeforms.

They fed off each other....it's a beautiful relationship between 2 people, a connection that has been suspended in time, like magic, until now, for us all to bear witness to, and to vicariously feel. The electrical connection relating those two incredible artists becomes tangible to us through music. What a beautiful thing
