yeah, okay, judy's voice does sound worn out, but imo i love it! it adds character to her performance. of course we all love the smooth and powerful voice of her younger years, but during the years of this vid i really like how she can fluctuate it and belt it out!! we can all agree she belts it out tremendously here!! and the imperfections of her sore voice are perfection to me. a phenomenal entertainer! :)

Liza is her mother's child!!! Gorgeous!!!!!!!!!!! Liza turn out to be the Judy of her time!!

as big a fan of Judy as I am, this can't really be called singing. She was better at the Palace in 1967.

This would be the last engagement in which Judy would sing her famous "Jeanette MacDonald" opening to San Francisco. Lovely Jeanette would pass away about two months after this (January 1965, from a long-standing heart ailment) and Judy, out of respect for Jeanette, dropped the comedic opening. Incidentally, Jeanette was once asked if she "minded" Judy's opening to this song and Jeanette replied, "not at all, for as long as Judy is the one singing it!" A very gracious lady indeed!

Wow! Such a tragic ending for this remarkable, talented and caring woman. There will never be a better STAR.

Judy had rehearsed herself hoarse by the time of the concert. She also had not recovered from almost dying in Hong Kong earlier that year (1964). Her throat and heart were damaged in that episode. Nonetheless she was brilliant. Was still showing that quick wit and amazing sense of humor. No wonder they called her "The World's Greatest Entertainer" during her own lifetime!

She wa s amazing in this song even after all her big MGM days were behind her in this number. Age was not a factor her.
My God, this should be required viewing by ALL the world!
