I have the 2nd gen S series.....but I'll be getting the Ipod touch 4g. It's just A LOT more for the same amount of money. I mean 32GB touch 4g costs $300 while 16GB X-series costs $300. Double memory for the same money, not to mention thousands of apps and many great apps for free plus front and back cameras.
I love Sony walkmans, but Ipod touch is just way way way way way more for the money.

I like it but it's too expensive!!!!!!!! It'd would really click if it is more budget-friendly :) (well, for those who are on a tight budget just like me)

I have sooo many MP3 players. In order of my preference for sound:
1. iAudio has best sound engine regardless of cheap headphones of $200 headphones (I own the four of these: U2, U3, A7 and one x5). All have superior tweakability.
2. Sony Walkman. I own 5...ALL NWZ-736f...I loved this units so much (with built in noise canceling that I didn't want to ever not have one...if lost or stolen)
3. iRiver 4 of these (all lost/stolen) can't remember the models
4. iPods/iphones 5 or 6: All sound crap

ive had sony players, and they have the best audio quality on the market, now i have an ipod touch, i wont change it for anything, but if we talk about sound quality sony just kicks their ASS.

I know that.. you can get a line out cable and a portable headphone amp but thats just to make a bad player to sound decent still not as good as a good sounding player.
