The Girl Who Kicked the Hornets' Nest [ Luftslottet som sprängdes ]

Two seriously injured people arrive at the emergency ward of the Sahlgrensa hospital in Gothenburg. One is the wanted murderer Lisbeth Salander who has taken a bullet to the head and needs immediate surgery, the other is Alexander Zalachenko, an older man who Lisbeth has attacked with an axe.

In this third novel in the Millennium trilogy, Lisbeth is planning her revenge against the men who tried to kill her, and even more importantly, revenge against the government which nearly destroyed her life. But first she must escape from the intensive care unit and exculpate her name from the charges of murder that hangs over her head.

In order to succeed with the latter, Lisbeth will need the help of journalist Mikael Blomkvist. He is writing an exposing article that will shake the Swedish government, the secret service and the whole country by its foundations. Finally there is a chance for Lisbeth Salander to put her past behind her and finally there is a chance for truth and justice to prevail.

One on the best, if not the finest, foreign production I have ever had the pleasure and privilege to watch. Absolutely believable with no scene over reaching credibility. The plot grips you with every second and doesn't let up even to the end. I have nothing but praise and admiration for the makers of this work of art. ......

To mee there is a little bit too much of the political bullshit in the 3rd part. Love the first two though.

not sure why people refer to the Swedish movie as the 'original'...it's based on a book, just like the American version is, just because it was made first doesn't make it original, that's like saying the very first production of a Shakespeare play was the original and every other performance is just a remake. I've seen this trilogy as well as the American version and to be honest, I prefer the American film because it is closer to the book (which I've read) and I found it be more compelling IMO

C'mon I did watch the US Version and I like some parts of it like the ending cause they stay true to the book unlike in the Swedish version. And it's not a biased opinion just because I said I like Rapace's version of Lisbeth and since I'm not discouraging anyone not to watch the US version, it's known as a PREFERENCE, just like how you voice out you prefer the remake. Really. And for the "morons" thing, you're the one who's name calling, hurt much?

Because for once, just for once they have done an amazing job at Hollywood and everyone refuses to watch it because they have biased opinions. Morons
