Peak oil is the problem. not Ethanol. if this guy is referring to the study from David Pimentel from Cornell that study is a joke. that guy doesn't have a clue about farming, ethanol, or it's by products. and Rep. John J. Duncan doesn't have to like Ethanol or subsidies but he should show respect to the 14 billion gallons of fuel the US was able to produce last year. their is no other renewable fuel coming close. oil is hard to substitute. be thankful people are trying. ethanol is not a joke.
this is why i'm a republican; they have some sense and reserve about spending money and won't unthinkingly throw tax dollars at well-intended yet poorly performing programs.
