@OneBigRetard Well in my opinion the films of Michael Mann are much more intelligent and generally better movies. Spielberg is a great filmmaker but for hollywood and family audiences. Indiana Jones and Jaws are great but he dumbs down his films. In my opinion.

I know nobody who is a bigger Mann fan than I. But NOBODY is 'far superior" to Speilberg.

How dare he disrespect Mann and then compare his devotion to Spielberg's. Mann is not only a far superior director but one of the most obsessive filmmakers. How dare he accuse Mann of "not seeing it through".

How does Rose not show respect to Mann? Even if he hadn't seen The Insider, Mann's answers and clear understanding of the characters should provoke that respect. Anyway, hearing him talk only makes me love him more as a director.
