This is the stunning guitar solo from the song Catch the Rainbow off the live album Rainbow in Germany 1976. This solo showcases the amazing improvisation skills of Ritchie Blackmore and also contains some crazy shredding. A must hear for any Blackmore fan. The entire song is 14 minutes long so I've only uploaded the solo along with a bit of the end.

  • where can I find the entire song?? (Blackmore is a legend... he mixes rock blues and classical music as nobody)

  • @PetroASR It's off the double-album Rainbow in Germany from 1976. It'll be difficult to find in stores, I managed to find it online through the website filestube.

  • Thanks for the comments everyone

  • THIS IS NOT an add. THIS IS SONG KILLING. LISTEN AND READ. Ronnie is singing at the at the end of the song MAKE IT shy, shy, shy and so on 7 times, SINCE THE RAINBOW HAS GENERALLY SEVEN COLOURS. THEIR MUSIC IS FULL WITH A LOT OF DETAILS, APART FROM NICE MELODY, GOOD ARRANGEMENTS. And all together makes them GREAT. So once again you are killing the song by cutting the moment described.

  • @dickensbg I've got no clue what you're talking about but I uploaded this only for the solo so yeah

  • @dickensbg what are you raving about?

  • @PetroASR

for me personally this is the perfect song. The best version is on the LP "On Stage".

  • ALBATROSS!

  • WOW, I'm stoned and didn't smoke a thing!

  • @dickensbg You see deeply, my friend.

  • @turboplazz This is true but Ritchie fought to get people like Cozy and Ronnie in the group.

  • @ahmeri18 Wow, what 2 solos were better than this?

  • i cried.....

  • Holy Crap. Where have all the killer guitars gone?
