"Lord, now lettest Thou Thy servant depart in peace" Sergey Rachmaninov
Male Choir "Accordance"
Soloist: Dmitriy Popov (tenor)

"Ныне отпущаеши" С.В. Рахманинов
Мужской Хор "Согласие"
Солист - Дмитрий Попов (тенор)

Текст - Text:
Ныне отпущаеши раба Твоего, Владыко, по глаголу Твоему, с миром;
яко видеста очи мои спасение Твое,
еже еси уготовал пред лицем всех людей,
свет во откровение языком, и славу людей Твоих Израиля.

Lord, now lettest thou thy servant depart in peace : according to thy word.
For mine eyes have seen : thy salvation,
Which thou hast prepared : before the face of all people;
To be a light to lighten the Gentiles : and to be the glory of thy people Israel.

  • This is my favorite of all the Rachmaninov vespers, and I like this version even better than the Orthodox Male Singers version . . . the sound is luminous, radiant, full of joy though solemn. There are some tiny changes in dynamics that are just delicious . . . and of course, Mr. Vladimir Pasyukov provides an beautifully authoritative ending. Spasibo, Aleksei!

  • You're welcome! I'm happy that, you enjoyed it!)))

  • Beautifully performed, the tenor is incredible!

    There is a sad note to it, though; one of the greatest octavists of all time is no long with us. Rest in peace Mr Pasjukov.

  • Beautiful church. What is the name of the church and where is it located?

  • Its Nice hear Popov and Pasuikov singing together, both working at the highest and lowest extremes of the male voice. Its also funny because both worked with St Petersburg Male Choir. Rhacmaninov was true genius, at writing symphonies, piano works and specially in chorale. I thank God for the Vespers!!

  • Wow. Popov's voice is amazing. 5*

  • Que maravillosos cantos.
