I'm not from the West Coast, nor did I go to school out West. For some reason though, I like the "Big C" version better than the "Sons of Westwood". They're both good fight songs, though.

UCLA's version is way better...albeit hard to hear in this video.

Cal Band rocks - their Big C is organic, rather than "Hollywood-ized" as with Sons of Westwood... there is more energy with Cal Band. But to UCLA - what ever happened to "Sing, UCLA"??

The UCLA band dominates Cal's! We have a better drumline, our version of the fight song is definitely better, and we don't prance.

UCLA perfected the song and made it more popular around the world.

Big C may be the original, but Sons of Westwood is much better. And it's become more famous across the country as UCLA's main fight song.

Big C is so much better....and it's actually a Cal song originally. UCLA should stick to playing the Mighty Bruins
