The Man.- Sendhil Ramamurthy

Sendhil Ramamurthy (born May 17, 1974) is an American actor, born in Chicago, Illinois but raised in San Antonio, Texas. He is best known for the role he plays as Indian geneticist Mohinder Suresh in the NBC drama Heroes.

He was born in the US to Indian Tamil parents, both of whom are physicians. His parents are from Bangalore, India. He has one sister, who is a physician, doing a residency in a combined internal medicine and psychiatry residency program. He and his sister were raised in San Antonio. In San Antonio, he went to Keystone School and graduated from there in 1991. He is the cousin of film director Jay Chandrasekhar. He is married to actress Olga Sosnovska; they have one daughter, Halina.

Ramamurthy's current role on Heroes is his biggest role yet. Although the character of Mohinder Suresh was originally written for a 55-year old, his audition tape and screen test were convincing enough for writers to rewrite the part for Ramamurthy.

The Woman.- Dania Ramirez

Dania Ramirez (born November 8, 1979) is a Dominican-American TV film actress. She is most recently known for playing a recurring character during the last season of The Sopranos and as Maya Herrera in Heroes. She also played Callisto in X-Men: The Last Stand.

The Heroes.- Mohinder Suresh and Maya Herrera

In the first two seasons, Mohinder is an ordinary human with no abilities. However, after he injects himself with a faulty formula derived from Maya's adrenaline, Mohinder gains insect-like powers. These include heightened senses, enhanced strength, wallcrawling, and the ability to jump extremely high. As a side-effect of using an incorrect formula, he also begins to biologically generate a substance that is similar to a spider's web, and develops scales on his skin. The infection eventually spreads throughout his body. After being exposed to the perfected formula, the side-effects disappear; the status of his abilities is unknown.

Maya's ability creates a fast-acting and potentially fatal poison in anyone nearby. The ability is triggered when she is stressed, but she can willingly activate her power if she wishes. Impediments such as walls or sealed vehicles don't affect the range or speed of infection.

When Maya's ability activates, her eyes turn completely black and she cries "black tears." Anyone within a certain distance of her (the range varies considerably, from an entire street full of people to the area of a small building) quickly exhibits similar symptoms and loses consciousness almost immediately, followed shortly by death.

Initially, Maya needs the help of her brother Alejandro to deactivate her power. His power also acts as a cure to the poison she creates, as well as making him immune to its effects. With Sylar's help, Maya eventually learns to deactivate her own power, eliminating the need for Alejandro's intervention to control it.

In "Eris Quod Sum", her power is removed completely by Arthur Petrelli.
