Winston Wong, MD: Kaiser Permanente's Support for Safety Net Organizations

Dr. Wong, talks about a speaks to the advantages of having discussions around the nation's safety net organizations at IHI's 23rd Annual National Forum on Quality Improvement in Health Care. Both organizations are committed to safety net organizations, which they believe have critical roles in cultivating a just, equitable and patient-centered health care system during the challenges of health care reform. Kaiser Permanente and the IHI have partnered on a program that will identify leaders from the Safety Net and place them for one year at IHI headquarters, where they will learn valuable tools they can use in their work.
