So in this segment, I am going to begin teaching my teqhniques and overall method for single saber dueling. I will not be discussing dual sabers or staffs because those are for faggots.

so to continue

I will start by outlining the three attacks I use in an overall strategy to win duels.

The first is red stance overhead, I use red overheads most often at the beginning of the duel, since they are powerful and one decent strike can get your opponent down 100hp.

The second is yellow stance fanning, which is great for a number of reasons

And the final attack is yellow stance slash, a move everyone knows about but I do not see commonly used well. It is one of my favorite attacks and the best for a single saber duelist to send quick damage when an opponent is retreating or manuevering.

So lets start with looking at red overhead, its pretty simple right? However the way you use the red overhead, accounts for everything. Good timing, knowing proper distance and the right strategy is important. I use overhead, generally, in three ways and il name them as follows

1. piking - Piking is being passive agressive with red overhead. You are making sure to keep distance from your opponent, but actually moving towards him while keeping close enough to get your one strike in and get out.

2. side stepping - In order to side step overhead, you need to have your mouse sensitivity very low. Side stepping with overhead is a part of piking, it is a way to hit a speedy opponent. This is more about good timing and aiming, than a special move. You are simply stepping around your opponnent to make sure the red overhead strikes.

3. and finally, with redoverhead I do damage trading. Damage trading is what I call attacking someone else, knowing you will most likely recieve damage in return. Obviously, this requires you being certain you can get the red overhead strike in. A perfect example is when an opponent with single saber comes at you with a side swing, you can then run into him with the red overhead, taking damage but knowing you dealt double the damage to him.

Using the piking method, go in and try to apply damage trading early in the duel, so that when you recieve his damage from a swing, he then recieves 90 to 100 damage from your overhead. then he becomes ripe for finishing with either with more overheads (without using damage trading) or yellow slashing and fanning.

  • Most of the people I see using Dual or Staff tend to Kata. I don't understand why people Kata, it doesn't do anything but leave you open.

  • duals and satffs R for fags lol, no my friend, they piss you off because judging ur moves and the players u fight, make u look very easy to beat for a staff or duals passive,or that thir block pisses you off, w/e

  • imagine if they make a a remake of this game... when i get older and fulfill my dream of actually being a game maker a remake of this game will be on of the first things i will do, and the jedi outcast game as well

  • @SmirnTea i agree, but personally single saber on normal strength (medium) is pretty awesome to me and it does a lot of damage

  • @SmirnTea cause it gives you some options not available when you use dual/staff

    @Grim3456 yup completely agree

  • how are dauals and staffs for fags just cuz someone dosent like to use old fation signal dosent mean what they like is a fag weapon personaly id choos dual wield any day

  • @Grim3456 give them a brake dont be a bitcher

  • @SmirnTea It does a shitload of damage. Still, good point.

  • @SmirnTea I only kata when 1: I'm surrounded. and 2: It's just one n00b.

And even then, usually only on JA+ servers that enable turning during kata so I can cover my ass.

  • Playing like that you're in no position to give anyone any advice on sabering. You suck and you do it hard.

  • I know some better moves than that like poke and 1 hit kill :D

  • @SmirnTea Agreed. Katas are only nice if you're doing a one-on-one battle and the situation makes it so that the enemy has a hard time to counterattack.

Single saber is waaay better than duel or staff. More practical and well-balanced.
