From France, The "Champs' Boys Orchestra" Released This Synth-Disco-Dance Version Of The Movie Theme From "The Exorcist". It's Very Good, Quite Creative And Very Different From The Original Mike Oldfield Version. "Tubular Bells" Only Made It To #98 On The USA Charts In 1976.
guess this must have been a hit in the uk as it was on an old episode of top of the pops that aired last night - complete with cheesy dancing to it by ruby flipper.

Back in the day this was very popular with DJ's but you could not get hold of a copy for love or money. I still have mine though

I love the exorcist it had such a huge impact on me as a young child, I could really identify with Linda Blair's character though i never puked on a priest i'd like to see father O'brian go to jail for what he did to me and the other boys in reform school.

Thanks for posting this disco classic. This was a big hit in the UK during the Summer of 1976. Top Of The Pops dance troupe at the time, Ruby Flipper did an excellent outdoor routine to this. If anyone has it they should upload it.

I'm surprised this version was not a hit because disco was on the rise at the time, and with disco versions of so many songs you would think this song would have taken off. It probably didn't get enough promotion. Thankfully Mike made this video so that we can enjoy it now.

This version of the song sounds like a cross between the original version and "Love To Love You Baby". I love it.
