The History behind the clip.
In 1944 Greece is liberated from the German occupation though the celebration is a short one.
The victorious resistance fighters of the left and the right have already started to fight each other. With the King, the government and the army still in Egypt and the collapse of the occupation government, the Greek Communists are in control of most of the Country. Winston Churchill sent secretely in (on board of US Air Corps planes...) a large number of British elite paratroopers, with the order to support the right-wing forces, kill the Communists on sight and reposess their armament. Those Greek fighters (armed by the British themselves since the Italian invasion of Greece in 1940) who have just finished a war with the Germans are now at war with the British troops in Athens and the right-wing Security Battalions (previously used by the Nazis to fight the red partisans) all over Greece...
It's the beginning of a bloody civil war which lasted until 1946.
