The science of death.
This BBC documentary is about the scientific studies of after death experiences. What happens after the body has stopped living? What experiences does the dying go through? Can the brain live on after clinical death or is it something else? What do we know about Consciousness? New science research reveals some startling findings.

so what happenes when we die?

  • 6:45 Oda Mae Brown?

Science never pretends to know the answer. It is open to change and constantly refining to fit our understanding of truth. Just because science doesn't give you the answers you want doesn't mean it has little value...

  • @TheTheKRIT Holographic Universe is just a competing theory for a TOE, and not a very good one. Consciousness is not a scientifically viable word to use when talking about physiological phenomena.

  • This makes me so want to die NOW.

  • @eatbigwinbig I'm not a YouTube PhD, I'm a "social engineer" :D lulz

  • @TheTheKRIT well put with the exception of this sentence "When you dream your brian is still active but it is no longer receiving signals from the outside world" yet I agree with it in part ...here's what I know for fact ...the olfactory sense is still functioning while sleeping so the brain must be "receiving signals from the outside world" so too ...our auditory sense is (during sleep/the dreamtime) still functioning though somewhat less acutely

    respect

  • Brilliant Fascinating Riveting ...reassuring ...comforting ...believable ...mindfilling

    thank-you for sharing

  • @badboy4life414 Yes but when your dreaming are you conscious? no your not. If we were all dreaming how would you be able to prove someone else was just dreaming? When you dream your brian is still active but it is no longer receiving signals from the outside world. So basically you are never unconscious, when you sleep you are dreaming even if you cant remember. Your mind, never goes to sleep. Only your physical body does.

  • @TheTheKRIT todays science wants to pretend to know the answers but in reality they dont. Quantum physics is just starting to realize that we are actually living in a hologram. Because are tree is not a tree thats waht are brain has created out of billions of vibrating particles it works the same for a human body. Everything you see or feel including planets and atoms are all your brains perception of what is there without our brains there is just billions of vibrating particles
