I was wondering where did you get the black board that's supporting the Fantom XR & what's it's size? (I'm looking for one of those for my modules)

I have a couple of them of different sizes - they are simply black wooden shelves that I bought at Home Depot here in the US. You could probably find them at most home improvement stores.

I do not really like any of these inexpensive MIDI controllers. I bought this Keystation because it had 61 keys and no knobs or sliders... I just wanted a controller with keys and nothing else. :)

but the key touch feeling /response is good? i share your opinion about knobs or sliders, bcs i have all i need on my gear, but for different reasons (small or bad keys or just 25 keys - korg microx for example) i need to control them with something larger. thx for your answer!

The feeling of the keyboard is mediocre. It is not as good as you'll find on a nice workstation synth like a Motif or Fantom.

Software typically has more flexibility. Kontakt is really the best software sound mangler out there in many respects and it plays a broad spectrum of formats.. that said I still find NI stuff buggy at times and I've come to dislike the GUI for most of their software. Akai s3000 are going way cheap on ebay these days and they sound great. I still think I will get an MPC at some point because of this. In many ways hardware still sounds better. The Akai and Kontakt cost about the same.

Kontakt quite good. Covers most instrument samples. Good luck with trying to get any Tech support with N.I!!!
