@howdidienduphere not all of U.S.A's children have the chance to enjoy the benefits of private education. I am not trying to compete here to see which country is the best, but what I said is true, and the previous comments are the proof of my statement. The Public Educational System here in the U.S. is messed up, and it has been like that for several decades now. I am not blaming the kids, but the system. But that is a true reality, the majority of usaians have no idea about Geography.

@howdidienduphere Also, when talking about countries with highest percentage of elite institutions of higher education, we should also consider what careers are being studied the most. Also taking in consideration what percentage of the population actually enters college with good academical standards. But college and universities are sort of out of the subject, being that it is in Elementary schools that Global History is supposed to be taught. Of course, Public Ed. is my point, due that

@howdidienduphere I had the intention to say all I've said, of course, but I don't see where's my dis respectfulness here.. Is it because I laugh? I'm sorry but I laugh when I think of this subject because it brings me memories. As when an usaian asked me if Argentina was in Europe? Of course the subject matter is not funny, it is actually sad. But you said it, SOME of you "are actually quite well-versed in global geography", most of the U.S. born citizens aren't =/.
