Howard is deservedly thought by some as the greatest Prime Minister Australia has had. Out of office, he still shows the wit and verve which allowed him to achieve so much in office. I wish him well, and long for the day we get someone as good as him again.

Lot of people forget Bob hawkes wage restraint and high inflation reducing wages by 25% in his time and 18% rba interest rates. and Keatings 11% unemployment. nor the 96 billion deficit Keating left.

Liberals were not in power for 80 years....The party was only formed in the the late 1940's.

Australia had a massive social deficit with health, age care, education ,and other social services were in complete shambles In terms of the economy it is true that it has been very strong but part of it was due to Hawke and keating who modernised the economy after 80 yeras rule of liberal goverments and the most disturbing ugly factor that he used the same management style as hitler did that is that he lies which instilled fear which brings out hatred in Aust society

Johny knows alot about economy just look when he was treasurer of the Liberal party. the highest ever long term interest rate (10 year bonds) of 16.5% was when Howard was treasurer. Uni degrees costed more when he was in his term, because he thinks for the people.

Most rejected? He won four terms! Who in the Labor Party can claim that achievement, Znotty? What are you going to say when Rudd loses at the end of his second term? Most rejected... hah!

Well Said.

Youtube limits videos to 10 mins duration, and since this interview went for 40 mins, to post it here would require four parts, so I'm going to set up a website where I can put pro-liberal videos, as well as articles, etc. I'll send a memo to all my registered friends when I do. regards, Kevvys.

He certainly wasn't bitter, Obs3n3. He accepted the decision of the electorate gracefully and with dignity, unlike Keating. And what a stupid decision it was. Look where we are now. JH said in this interview that we would not be in position we are in if he had won, and gave reasons, and I have no doubt that's true. The sad part about the election result is that we all suffer for the folly of those who were conned by Krudd.
Come back John.
What awful timing to get rid of the conservatives. It will go down as one of the most ironic events in Australian history.
