Before Dallas---Mary Frances and the family were, as I may have said here, in DePatie-Freleng Enterprises 's 1970 special "Goldilocks", an odd special that combined live aciton with animation. Paul Winchell and Avery Schreiber costarred! Winchell's pessimistcic bobcat, purr-fectly voiced by Paul WInchell and soundling slightly like his Jerry Mahoney and Dick Dastardly voice characterizations, spouted such lines as "Now it'th PEOPLE in da forest'! L

After Bing's death, Kathryn and the family continued to appear in Minute Maid ads (he was still one of the largest stockholders in the company). But after 1980, they disappeared from the company's ad campaigns {Coca-Cola, who owns Minute Maid, probably decided that without Bing, who'd be interested in seeing just the Crosbys pitching their orange juice?}

@cmcb09 yeah I was thinking that their performance together would have to be sometime towards the end of Bing's life. How they got two of music's polar opposites to work together on a tender christmas song everyone knows, is beyond me, but however it worked, and it is the most great christmas duet of all time. I had my chance to check out the clip inall it's entirety, but i was looking up other things so I'll have to type in again to see it

@imachildofthe80s8089 He did that christmas duet with David Bowie, the year that he died. The special aired November 30th 1977 a month and a half after he had passed away. Kathryn Crosby gave a tearful introduction to the special.

They are trying to sue record companys that are releasing his songs now even though they (the record companys), have the right to. They also want the rights to bings version of "Silent Night.'' And they are also trying to get all of derbingels cash that he has in trusts. Time for them to call JG Wentworth.

And I never knew when Bing died. So now I know it was 1977(same year Elvis died and Saturday Night Fever was the big movie, Fleetwood mac's Rumours was the big selling album) what year did Bing do that christmas duet with weirdo David Bowie?

yes I knew that legendary Bing Crosby was Mary Crosby(Dallas Kristen) father. This commercial was from 1978. Crosby appeared on Dallas from 79-80 towards the end of the second season and left at the beginning of the 4th season when JR embollished Kristen from Dallas.
