  • Soloing over Hey Joe chords

    Pentatonic minor scale of E

E(D string 14th fret with third finger)

G (G string at the 12th fret with first finger)

A (G string at the 14th fret with third finger- this note is a good one to bend)

B (B string at the 12th fret with the first finger)

D (G string at the 15th fret with the fourth finger-another good one to bend when soloing)

E (E string at the 12th fret with the first finger)

    Have Fun!!

  • hi rorriodios

the chords do not conform to a particular key but you could solo using the pentatonic minor scale of E the notes are E G A (a good one to bend) B and D (another good one to bend?)

The chords use the old rock trick of using major chords rooted on different degrees of a minor scale (e natural minor)

    hope this helps?

  • WHy do these guys always put their fingers on the guitar if they arent using them?? I cant tell if he is using his pinky on E

  • hey thanks for the vid but what the strum pattern please ? =)

  • This looks cool, I want to try this with my You Rock Guitar.

  • Great video my friend. Just had my second guitar lesson so very much a beginner but one thing I can't understand is what you're doing when

transitioning from one chord to the next.

You seem to be strumming something after you lift your fingers off the

strings from playing one chord and before you put your fingers down for the

next chord. I know nothing about music (yet!!) so I don't know what notes

you're playing; are they just open strings? and if so, which ones?

  • After C is not G.... is C reducido (sorry my the spanish)

  • Pretty cool!!

  • what key is hey joe in??
