Dream Theater - "Honor Thy Father" Drum Cover

The A-Z series of drum covers by Cole George:

Basically, this started out with the process of going through my iTunes Artists list, and picking a song per letter that would be fun to make a drum cover of.
Some songs, I've been playing for years, whereas some, I listened to just a couple of times before recording. Some I practiced, Some I didn't. Some are obviously demanding as a drummer, and some are just fun to play. My favorites are combinations of the two :) Most of the bands and songs I chose, I thoroughly enjoy playing. On the other hand, there's some I don't even like, but I needed a song for that letter. In all of them, I wanted to stay fairly accurate to the original drumming in the song.

Mixing, I kept my kit as raw as possible, if only just to make the process quicker, and consistent between songs; you hear my drums, you hear the song. Done.

All in all, I think the series serves as a good cross-section of my influences, strengths, and style as a drummer. Everything was shot in Summer & Fall '09 when I was 17.
