is Orpheus required to get Thanatos?

Not really, you need to obtain all Persona's under the Death Arcana, later in the game you'll have the option to fuse 4/5 Persona's... However, Thanatos won't be available until you have maxed out the Death/Mysterious boy Social Link. All Death Persona's can be obtained through regular fusion except for Alice...

messiah is thanatos + orpheus, so yeah they are related.

i got to block 6 at lvl 65 and my thanatos has 99 strength (cards)

but i have alot more maxed slinks than you

block 6 is hawt

is Thanatos that good? and i saw the artbook for Messiah and saw the coffins that Thanatos has, is Messiah related to Thana in any way?

and when does everyone get their second form of Personas
