@viperkeeper Let me tell U about my encounter with Sakishima-Habu at Kedena AFB Okinawa1966. I was 18 + orientation did not cover the dangers of the S-Habu snake. I was asleep + about 3 O'clock in the morning I had a throbbing pain on my back. It was a S-Habu bite + it was cold so it crawled in my bed while asleep. I roled on top of him + he gave all the venom he had. They cut his head off to release his bite. I was in the hospital for 8 weeks + almost died. Thats why I am terrified of snakes.

@viperkeeper Thanks I appreciate the information but I know someone who had luck with the Sawyer Kit which works better if U have help. I live in Scottsdale Arizona and he was bit buy a Mojave Green and almost died. But he was in Yuma Arizona were they have one the best emergency center and hospital for rattlesnake bites. Plus there well stocked with Mojave Green, Western Diamond and Pacific Rattlesnakes but they need new people to collect Anti-Venom and they pay well for dangerous work.

VD gloves IMO do have a failure rate. I know people who have been bitten throught them.

The Sawyer has been clinically show to cause more damage then if you don't use them.

@viperkeeper U tried Venom Defender gloves? I watched YT commercial + it seems like a good product and I would be good when you have to handle more snakes than usual. It gave protection for Gaboon Viper, Fear De Lance and King Cobra..I found an interesting video called " Snake-catchers - the dangerous life of the Irulas | Global 3000" it how they produce anti-venom in large quantities. U should see the sizes of their Cobras and Russels Vipers. Also have U seen the "Sawyer Venom Extractor Pump"?

As a 3 year old i told my mother to come look at my 'stripy lizard'. When she finally came over this lizard i had been playing with on a small stick (it climbing back and forth along the stick towards my hand) it licked my palm. Mum took me to hospital with the decapitated baby. they said it was a desert death adder and it didnt bite me as i would have been dead. After seeing your snakes lunge so fast, makes me see how very lucky i am that in the desert heat it hadn't lunged and bit me.
