||| http://mypixelstory.com ||| Mr. Siddique, is 81 years old and he still has to pull a rickshaw 6-7 hours a day. Sounds daunting, but he enjoys every bit of it. One of those rare bravehearts in the world, fighting his own battle against poverty, old age with love and compassion...An interesting life-sketch.

This was originally made as a video story for Metropolis TV, an online channel from VPRO Network, Netherlands. Music Credit: Ray Charles (Hit the Road Jack)

  • Good documentary. You should name it something like - 81 year old rickshaw puller....so that it gets more attention!!

  • @Rigent2010 Thanks.

  • This is an amazing video! and an amazing man! Thank you! we always strive to be the best in everything and get up there where ever that is, and we forget the little things that makes us smile.....2day so much frustration, anger, sadness and hatred is on this world, i wonder how many of us will smile like him at his age. Thank you for the video again! and i wish him a wonderful life ahead and all the happyness! Is he still working now? or stoped?

  • @WaterVersusICE Thanks for your kind words of appreciation. Same goes with me. I was moved by his evergreen smile the first day I saw him. He is an inspiration for any society burdened by the curse of aging and stagnation.

Now-a-days he is not regular anymore due to physical complications. The heart is still young though. I'll definitely convey your best wishes to him. You are welcome to share this with the senior folks around you. 'cause they deserve a good smile as well :)

  • This is lovely,

It is like a singh of hope.

    Thank you!

  • @laurenStoryWriter You are welcome! His lifelong struggle and illustrious career shouldn't go unnoticed. Thus this portrayal. Kindly ask your young friends to watch and get inspired. Thanks.

  • @eyelightedcolours The kind of hardship he has to endure everyday, I wonder where he finds the strength to smile at everyone. Honesty and integrity is the key I guess.

  • I really enjoyed this documentary, Mr Siddique is a true character, who accepts no nonsense! His strength is admirable. Thank you.

  • @ste6666666 He is happy with his wife and family. His children work in separate professions though. Will surely convey your good wishes to him. Thanks!

  • @mypixelstory I totally agree and still eating cake till he is a hundred and ........?. His walking had a kind of deliberate placing in his step, probably gained from the fact he is only moving himself and not another. Walking is easy to him with his 45 years of pedalling. Is their somebody in his family coming up the ranks to take his place eventually. Give him my warmest greetings from Stephen in Liverpool, UK.
