The photo at 4.41 is the only form of Saraswati now visible in India. This is at Badrinath. Immediately after that appearance, she merges with the greenish waters of Alakananda and makes her light blue. This merging is named Keshav Prayag.

  • This tune is popular allo over Uttaranchal. For example, in Swami Dayananda Ashram, they have frequent "Ganga Arati" at around 630pm where the song is sung in this tune while waving the arati - on the bank of the ghat at the ashram; a very beautiful and memorable tradition. this tune is evocative of that tradition for me.
