Robert Plant dancing = awkward. Keep hold of that mic stand, Robbie. No joke.

@mielazul actually , I offered to join the band , on bass , and so jones felt he should step aside and defer to my massive skills . But , I felt bad for the lad , and decided it would be best just to step back and let old Jonesy keep his gig . I am cool that way

@FrankieFlop I figured you were a bass player - I'm a guitarist. Funny how these things color your views, right?
But then, our views aren't really that different after all. JPJ is a giant, just like the other 3. Hell, I even thought that stuff with Diamonda Gala (sp?) was cool. But you should look up "Jone Paul Jones quit Led Zeppelin" or something like that. Only Grant and Jimmy knew...and they changed his mind...but basically he was exhausted after the insane 73 US tour.

@mielazul I know...probably should have prefaced that to In Through The Out Door. I play bass and am obviously heavily influenced by JPJ. Never heard that JPJ quit (and kind of doubt it...not sure of your source but if true I'd venture to guess he was getting dissed by Percy!). Bottom line...dude was balls to the wall creativity and never got the recognition...and my point was the snub on this tour was BS. JPJ and Bonzo were inseparable in the groove section. JPJ don't get the credit due.
Robert Plant lookin' kinda buff here.

the greatest guitarist EVER bar none! more imaginative than mclaughlin, howe, beck, hendrix, malmsteen, vai, holdsworth, fripp etc, etc. jimmy page has that mystical quality that sets him apart - cant think of anyone who comes close or even similar ??
