Killdeer Chicks

I found a Killdeer nest with 4 eggs on Easter Sunday... they hatched out today. The little birds don't stay in the nest long. Just a couple of hours after hatching out they were running all over the place. Fun to watch. Hard to video. Hope you like them as much as we do.

No sir, these birds don't fly..... The earth just rejects them into the sky after they get a couple of days old. Hahahahahahaha!

Very common here... but, you folks(Aus)are the ones with all the weird animals most people have never seen...hahaha

Very cute! I mostly only see them on the beach or around lakes a rivers, not near my home. Just as well, the cars would get them and I would be sadly picking them up from the streets.

Just saw a pair and its chicks yesterday in front of my bank I had no idea what they were till i looked it up the chicks were so cute but I only saw 3 I just hope I just didnt see the 4th and it was ok
