MSOE Novice Rowing Crew

This is what I did for fun at MSOE! I preferred to be on the water in the boats, but that's hard with Wisconsin winters... So this is what we do instead!

this was the first time we had set up 8 ergs in a row like that on slides, and we had 2 brand new people that have never been on ergs before. so yes, we were a little rough here.

we went to our first Regatta in Indianapolis Indiana and took 6th out of 13 team, and we had only rowed all 8's for about half an hour prior to the race. half the boat always set, and half rowed. so I think we did very well considering no experience.

no our school has a crew team who's novices both men and women have won states in VA, and i mean the slides for the ergs to sit on to simulate a boat

@OOTman00 yeah the slides are a really great tool. When you're out on the water, it's so hard to find and correct the people who are rushing up the slide too early and killing to boat speed. this is a great way to practice being in sync and using control going up the slide.

Ur right, it is. at our school its our long line if ergs side by side with every one going at thier own pace :|
