Just recently watched this for the first time on DVD and decided to make a little trailer for it. The sound and timing is quite iffy in most parts, and the quality isn't perfect. Also, I apologize for the really corny titles, but I didn't have some dramatic, deep male voice to do the voice over narration. ;)

Enjoy and please comment. I do not own anything.

  • I know this film was supposed to be redundant and scant of plot...but I love this movie! It's one of my favorite of all Judy's films for some reason. And your trailer is great!

  • @friendsfamilyaccount Redundant and scant of plot it may be, but I'm with you - I love this movie, it's one of my favorite Judy/Gene pairings - both have such iconic numbers. Gene with the newspaper scene, and Judy with Get Happy. You can't beat that. It is just so charming, a great "feel good" movie.

    Thank you very much. :)

  • OMG! You have done an amazing job with this trailer. I am in shock. Thanks a lot. By the way Nita Bieber was featured in that film!

  • @SebastianRio2008 Thank you very much - I appreciate it. :)

  • Megan, This could easily pass as the official trailer for Judy's last MGM film Summer Stock... The video and audio quality are excellent and the scenes you have chosen make for a great movie teaser:)

  • For me, it's ugh, but I'm glad you liked it. There's some parts that I wish I had done differently (1:32 - 1:35 namely. I should have taken that out as it's too choppy), but I had fun making it, and that's all that counts. Thanks for commenting! :)

  • @kirko1954 Yeah she looked chunkier in the beginning of the movie but like her character in the get happy scene she wen through a physical transformation ,she looked gorgeous Judy, She did not need MGM,she had success after it , her voice her vibrato alone was a star.Where would MGM be frankly without Judy Garland come on she looked beautiful always. That jerk did not can her he was embarrassed by her but Judy was strong and did not need MGM she had her voice and charm that's all she needed.

  • @kirko1954 Screw that Louis B.Mayer he was a pig a real sick weirdo demented man alledgley not only did he make Judy's days at MGM a nightmare he also told Jimmy Stewart to go to brothels to have sex with women to prove he is not gay and it was walking distance he was a sick man aside from the uppers and downers he gave to Mickey Rooney,Debbie Reynolds and Judy etc. he was sick that man I cannot believe I share a name with him.But yeah great revenge,Judy looked good at the end of movie.

  • Judy's last film at MGM before Louis B. Mayer "canned" her, she went out with a BANG with the "Get Happy" number. She was sick before this film; notice that she's a little "chunky" at the beginning and how great she looks by the end.

  • I don't know... the plot may have been simple but it had so much heart and chemistry it made up for it and maybe even enhanced it

  • oh my god. he is soooo cute and he can dance!!!

  • I did indeed. It's the second trailer I've made and I hope to make one for A Star is Born soon. Thanks for commenting!
