Gigaminx v1.5 #2

This is a video of the second gigaminx I have built.

I have spent twice the time on this puzzle to make sure everything was done right.

The turning is vastly improved overall however with the exception that the center edges frequently fall out with little effort. This sad fact is what prevented me from putting this up for auction.

okay, here's how I made them.... this is the secret, the big one!..... I sit down and invest time into designing a mechanism that works. that's the trick, you can do it too =P

Bet teraminxes have to be slightly rounded to avoid becoming unstable.

you could also just make the outer layer a lot thicker but that would look ugly

so true.. its just that these are too rare to find i tried to buy one couple of months ago and couldn't find any so i had to buy c4u gigaminx and it really sucks... haha

but most people (still buying crap) would buy crappy but workable puzzles for 60 bucks than very good puzzles for 1000 bucks more. Once it's factory made, everyone has one as it is cheaper.

Don't you think it's kind of a pain that C4y is releasing all of these new (previously only custom-made) puzzles like the Gigaminx. Metaphorically speaking, c4y is moving in on your territory.
