How to Recover iPhone Contacts and Photos from iTunes Backup [PC]

Now i know i receive a lot of hate for the music but this is proof that i care for those who desperately need to know how to do it. You all can thank a recent individual who so desperately needed my aid that i was compelled to write out these whole instructions for her/him.

This is step-by-step and very easy to understand.

What you need to do is go on to the link i posted,
Here it is just in-case

and download the file, it will be a .rar file which you need a special program to open called "winrar" which can be downloaded for free from here :

www.rarlab.com/rar/wrar41b2.exe

Just install that and the file should now open in it

Now double click on that main folder there and you should see two folders "LzO" and "setup"

Go into the setup folder and double click on iphonebackupextractor.exe and it should open up and load (give it a while to load)

However at the top of the window it will say unregistered, you need to register it on order to gain full functionality.

You do this by going back to the .rar file, going back one folder and then into the "LzO" folder.

from there double click on "keygen.exe and a new window will open up.

Now go back to the iphonebackupextrator window we just opened and click on the tab at the top that says "help" and then click register.

Now in that window it will give you a unique ID, copy the large "unique Identifier" code into the keygen box where it says "unique ID" and press the generate button at the bottom.

This will give you a serial that will register your program.

Now copy paste the Name "Line Zer0" back into the register window under "your name" and also copy long the generated serial into the "enter your registration code" box.

And click the register button.

The program now works fully so we can close the keygen and begin to extract your photos and all data from the backup.

You do this by clicking on the tab that says extract and then clicking "photos"
It will ask you where u want to extract them to, just choose a folder or make a new one
and click 'ok'

Once you have done all this it will begin putting your photos in that folder and when it is done you will have all your photos back!

You can do this for any data on the backup including sms messages, contacts etc.

Hi is there any way I can get me my backup file to reappear in the devices list under preferences in iTunes? Because I still have my back up folder in mobile sync

well it depends how old the backup is, if you go to preferences>devices you will see a list, but itunes pretty much disregards all older backups which is stupid IMO.
