The ball is a 'smart' training ball. It's closer to the weight of a puck (though slightly lighter, I believe, to make up for the friction) and is meant to give you the closest feel you can get using a ball. They're about $10. I have one myself and it's not bad; definitely beats using a plastic ball.
All the stick handling drills the people doing them have their heads down. If you practice like that your goin be starin at the roof all game

The only thing I would change is that the guys legs are straight like pegs. It would be better to practice with a good body position. - Ed

the floor that he is on are spider tiles, they are what my inline hockey league plays on. makes is easier to stop aswell
