  • "...and you've changed the colour of your hair why is it not white anymore?"

  • @bigmacchris It was a pretty good get-out, I thought. And he stuck with it with the book thing, turning it into a proper troll. Above all, are you disputing that the line about the hair isn't a total classic?

  • @martinmerrywinkle To be fair though, Barry from the Bee-Gees' fiscal policy seems to be economically sound.

  • @Matthewkilb well of course, thats why you see people like Barry from the Bee Gees in number 10 downing street

  • @IanM1984 Saxon pirates attacked the south coast of Britain during the later Roman period, and some may well have settled in less well-defended parts of Britain. At any rate, the traditional account of sudden and rapid Saxon settlement given by Bede doesn't seem to fit the archaeological record.

  • Chris Morris is a British treasure. Oh, and there weren't any Saxons in what is now GB when the Romans were here, rather, Celts.

  • Morris is a hero, end of!

  • Depicted as a large four legged breast. Nearly died laughing.

  • @gingerjames86 Oh, no, there wasn't.

  • @SquishedButterfly

Like it or not, the media figures that Morris ridicules often have as much, if not more, power when it comes to influencing public opinion than politicians do. I think it's safe to say that most people would agree that politicians should take their job seriously, and that they should be well-informed and accountable, so why shouldn't the same be true of those in the media?

  • @SquishedButterfly They made themselves look foolish though. Chris Morris just provided the rope that then then hung themselves with. You surely can't deny that.

They didn't take their responsibilities as public figures seriously, and were exposed as attention-seeking, self-promoting idiots, who couldn't even be bothered do the most basic of research into what it was they being asked to promote.

  • @Matthewkilb he could've continued to use comedy to make all of those serious points without the need to drag real people into it. So all that's left is that he's doing it for their own good to teach them humility, but I don't buy it. Don't think he gives a shit about them. I hate seeing people being made to look foolish while others who are in on the joke sit around cackling. It's low. Justify it as a social awareness raising thing if you like but I think your kidding yourself.
