@minidisk75 a tuned vw golf is able to beat a ferrari f40. truth is, caterham is superior to ferrari in every way. it doesn't depend on the driver.

@SuperBentley88 Sure, I wasn't specifically talking about the F40 when I said V12...I was thinking of other videos I've seen of Caterhams blowing various vehicles away. Either way, a twin-turbo V8 vs a natural-aspiration four-banger is something to see.

@dickiesbike1 Alright research done:
It doesn't have an AC, and the seats aren't Power leather, stereos are after market add ons.
Caterham R500 superlight...1,115.5 lbs.vs F40's 2,425
R500 with the new Duratec...263 bhp.....vs F40's 471bhp
Bhp/ton.....R500-520 vs F40-400
My point is this, The R500 doesn't carry any glass, roof or doors.
One is midengine 50:50 balance the other is well a mess
Not a fair comparison!
P.S. its not bare carbon there are two BIG red upholstered seats and carpet
