This is a video (or you could call it a slideshow) I made for my English class on African American literature. Ain't I a Woman was a speech given by Sojourner Truth (Isabella Baumfree) at a Women's Rights Convention in Akron Ohio in 1851.
I used many different pictures that I got from google images to help make Truth's speech more visual. I also incorporated 3 songs in the video that are (in order):
The Ballad of Sojourner Truth by Trillium Marimba Ensemble
Sojourner Truth by New Harmony Sisterhood Band
I Am Woman by Tanya Stevens
I also used Speech At Akron Convention by Sojourner Truth (from the album Every Tone a Testimony)
oh and sorry about the sound! it's not your computer or your bad speakers, it IS the sound on the video. it was really hard to balance the volumes between the one song and the speech, and i did the best that could be done with it using the program that i have.... i think....?
but anywayyyysss I hope you like/learn/etc something about/from/etc this video! I know I did!!
The music is Trillium Marimba Ensemble
