How to make a background using GIMP 2.6

Step by Step directions-
1. Open GIMP
2. Make a new file, it should be landscape and pixels (the size of your desktop screen)
3. Go to FILTERS, then RENDER, then NATURE then FLAME
4. Pick a flame and select the camera zoom and basic color
5. Wait for the flame to load, then move it into the spot you want it at
6. To change color go to COLORS then COLORIZE
7. SAVE, you are done OR to add another flame add a transparent layer and do it all over again on a transparent layer w/ a new flame!!

Go to window then recently closed docks and click layers.

If its not there go to WINDOWS then click Layers, paths, channels...
