Matthew Leddy: Devil's Advocate (TV pitch)

My original video submission for the Oprah Winfrey Network (OWN) was DENIED because it had too many logos, etc. Here is the re-edited version I created in order to follow the guidelines.

Matthew Leddy is not only a handsome (and ever-so-humble) devil; he is the devil's advocate. In this mind-melting show, he explores topics-- from the silly to the serious-- and looks at them from both sides of the coin. Whatever you're for, he's against; and whatever you're against, he's for:

Pro-guns? "I'd rather kill you with kindness."
Pro-pandas? "They look like furry terrorists to me."
Against fair trade? "You're being unfair."
Pro-Matthew Leddy? "OK- that is something we can all agree on."

By testing people's beliefs and digging deep into a wide range of fascinating and often-uncomfortable topics, Matthew puts the "FUN" in "EducaFUN."

The issue featured in this video is gay marriage. It's rather difficult to find opponents of gay marriage in West Hollywood, where the streets are paved with rainbows. But as soon as we find them -- and grill them-- we will be ready to premiere our pilot episode of "Devil's Advocate", so stay tuned!

First rate! Eye contact, succinct, smooth line of questioning. Witty. John Stoessel, formerly of ABC News, used the same detached, skeptical but witty approach in shattering the shibboleths of Keynsian and socialist economics. Hope Matthew gets his chance.
