I'm only 16 but love music and hope you will like what I write. It's my dream to have this played by an orchestra! I posted it to find out what people thought of my music...hope you like it!

  • Thank you for all the comments!!! Would anyone like to hear more of my music?

  • It sounds good, but that one theme 0:15 then again at 1:41 is very much like the opening piano riff in A Thousand Miles by Vanessa Carlton.

Anyway, the pause at 1:39 felt a little awkward. Maybe the strings could be doing something quite, then crescendo into the main theme again.

Overall though, quite nice. Keep it up.

  • @PianoOnWheels Thanks...I promise I dont even listen to Vanessa Carlton...All I write is straight from my head..I dont even sit down at the piano

  • Sounds great as always!!!!!!

  • @ViolinGrrl1993 Thanks!

  • Ahhh... I can imagine a big ship then, a crew saw an island where they can land. Then, the captain and all the others horraaah-ed. You are really blessed to get such opportunities. I hope more and more people will listen to classical music and music inspired by it, just like yours. :)

  • @2pianoplayers Just waiting for it :) (aren't you playing some other 4 handed ones? )

  • Sounds entirely generic - you're allowed at your age :-) The rest, well, more training, more theory and a lot more writing will see if you have anything to say. My two cents - a lot of the parts are clearly 'found' on a piano, and you have typical piano configuration, say, on some of the horn parts - not at all nice for the horns, and not taking advantage of the instrument's behavior or character. Listen to music written directly for orchestra, and look at scores.

  • Wonderful. Keep composing...you have a bright future (think John Williams). How did you record all the different instruments? Is it a certain program?

  • My first thought is "wow!"

My second thought is "I wish I could write music like that". I can't coordinate instruments that well.

  • Reminds me of GoldenSun.

  • and the first part of the song makes me think of the music that in movie "Home Alone", the Christmas scene music, it sounds like movie background music, does it made for movie background music ? i mean it sounds like background music, not like " the main role" music

  • the "African Drums Original Composition" is posted by Ijdespain at youtube, i just think you might be interested to hear it, it got some part sounds similar to this song, i can't paste the link, i guess it's because it got copyrighted, i think you can find it by youtube search it

  • some part of it makes me think of the "African drums original composition" ( which i happened to listen to at youtube a couple months ago ),but the African drums original composition is more stunning to me than this, cause they got african drums and Xylophone sound that makes it sounds rich to me
