Ski Swaps and Jib Contests: Winter is almost here!

This weekend took us one step closer to winter with the North Lake Tahoe Ski Swap on Saturday. Hundreds of people turned out at the NLT High School to pour over tons of gear from skis and boards to hats and sweaters. These events are the best way to get great gear cheap and support local school programs. The swap season is on with several more events in the coming weeks. Squaw Valley USA held their job fair this weekend, another sign winter is closing in. But the most obvious clue is the pile of snow Boreal has managed to accumulate. Crews have been working hard in the past few weeks and have managed to produce an impressive amount of the white stuff for the 4th annual Jibassic event on Saturday. Every one was stoked to get out on the hill and throw down on the jumps and rails that had been set up.
