Phil has a beautiful voice but his accent takes away from the beauty of the words I think. It a wonderful version but his accent bothers me. And I mean no offense because I love Phil Collins I just think a Japanese Artist would have been the better choice

I can speak/understand japanese and I must say that even though he has quite a thick accent the pronounciation is REALLY GOOD for someone who doesnt speak japanese at all:) I understand every word

@HitoriShinigami I can't speak Japanese. Phil Collins can't speak Japanese either, so it is very commendable of him to try to sing in so many languages. He did a Spanish version too, with a strong English accent, but he did it very well, considering he can't speak Spanish either. Behind him there was a huge team of teachers and professionals, trying their best. A Japanese artist would have pronounced better, but without the feeling, effort, charisma and personality only Phil can provide.
