December Snow Storm in Leesburg, VA

Street scene outside my home in Leesburg, VA. This was taken around noon on December 19th, 2009. This storm is expected to be in the top seven snow storms for our region. It may be the number one storm for December. Storms producing this much snow in the mid-Atlantic region are known as "Nor-easters." The storm started at 8pm on the 18th and isn't expected to stop until 10am on the 20th.

@freepaysthesoul We recently adopted the dog from a family that couldn't have the pet in their new home. They are from Latin America and I think they only spoke spanish to Oso. He's adjusting quickly and learning to respond to our english commands.

hey, i live in leesburg, VA too, that storm was AWESOME, and then that blizzard about a week after the really big storm really added up!!! i doubt we will have one anywhere close to that next winter!!

I grew up in Loudoun County, and I remember how rare it was to get a snow that deep!
