Actually you still have to set base timing with an aftermarket standalone...

@EZFI if u uase a timming light u must be usign stock esu cause any other esu u hook it up to a comp and use the software provided with the after market esu
if u have an aftermarket esu and u have to use a light still then get a new mechanic cause thats not the right way to do it in a feul injected car timming lights are for carbd engines or bad mechanics

hmm timming light do u run a stock esu i got a micro tech so i use my laptop to tune not a light waste of time
Yes I have a standalone. I already got rid of the fan and got electrical ones. about the timing light you always need to verify your base timing is zeroed before you move any farther, if not whatever you dial in the EMS will be off. thanks for watching
