This is a video giving my fellow pregnant ladies some tips on nausea. The third tea that I was going to talk about, but ran out of time, was raspberry tea. It strengthens your uterus during pregnancy. Some wbesites say it's not okay to use during your first trimester, however, I've been using it since the mid first trimester without any problems (but I have a history of mostly no OB/GYN problems, though). It's not a nausea thing, but it will make your uterus stronger for birth.

  • Unfortunately, yashmin786, when I was pregnant, sweet things made me nauseous, also. The fruity gum probably would've made me puke. But thanks for the suggestion. Maybe it will for someone else.

  • hi, is it white or black horehound?, it seems that the black horehound is the one that helps for nausea, there are some horehound candies (drops) i wonder if those are black horehound, I also read in other part that horehound is not recommended in pregnancy cause the stimulation of the uterus, but i think in large ammounts . i am in the 8 week. have you already had your baby without problems or wich week of pregnancy are you now? :) greetings from New Mexico

  • Hello. It is black horehound. My doctor said it was okay to use in tiny amounts. You seriously will be taking a few licks and then feel better. I never bit off a bite. I had my baby in November and there were no problems. She was actually a week overdue (my first). I only used the horehound during the first and second trimester and everything was fine during the whole pregnancy.

  • Thanks for you kindness. Ginger does work a bit...not too much though. By the way how do you spell the candy 'horehound'?

  • Yes, that's how you spell horehound. I'm glad you found this helpful.

  • Thanks!

  • OMG Thanks I am a disaster!!

  • U know lately the only thats been helping my nausea is drinking Sprite...its been taking the queasy stomach churn feeling away

  • Best thing for the after taste is fruity gum. Keep chewing gum and it eases the bout to vomit.

  • hi fanniqua, r u still there, i want to talk to you.

  • Wow- it's so amazing the way you described the crackers. Though saltines work for getting something in your stomach to help the acid, I really don't like the sweet aftertaste with this pregnancy. My husband offered to get crackers (they were a staple for other pregnancies), but I told him the exact thing you described about the aftertaste of the broken down carbs.

  • I feel the exact same way! I have yet to actually vomit but I feel like I am about to almost every second of the day. It's terrible. Thank you so much for this

  • hi again, thank you for the answer :) but now i just wonder where i could get black horehound, I live close to santa fe in New Mexico and went to "Vitamin Cottage Natural Grocers" and they just had the white horehound, though i got chamonille, raspberry leaves, ginger and peppermint tea to make my own myself! i think it is working a little bit. where do you think i can find the horehoud?

thank you so much for your help!
