From a collection of recordings Buddy Rich and his band made during the 1970s. "Cape Verdean Blues" was composed by Horace Silver. This LP originally was released in 1978 as "Class of 1978" by the The Great American Gramophone Company (GADD-1030). Arranged by Tom Boros; piano, Barry Keiner; trumpet, Dean Pratt.

  • I have the direct-to-disc album,and the sound quality is phenominal,as good or better than digital,very warm tone.RIP Mr. Rich,your passing has left a void that can never be filled in our lifetime.Our loss is heavens gain.

  • I was fortunate enough to attend one of Mr. Rich's concerts at a local college auditorium, and man could he tear it up! When he played this and Groovin' Hard no one was seated.This was in 1983 and the audience were mostly students.That's the way to play drums!!!Take a lesson rock lovers!!!
