This video introduces the work of artist He Kun, highlighting his unique style of reduction woodblock printing and its relationship to the landscape of southwestern China.
These videos were produced in conjunction with the exhibition Multiple Impressions: Contemporary Chinese Woodblock Prints, on view at the University of Michigan Museum of Art from July 16 to October 23, 2011 in the A. Alfred Taubman Galleries. They are made possible in part by support from the University of Michigan Center for Chinese Studies and a grant from the US Department of Education under Title VI of the Higher Education Act of 1965. Multiple Impressions was organized by the University of Michigan Museum of Art with the cooperation and support of the China Academy of Art, Hangzhou, China.
