A 90 HP jet is actually equivalent to 65 HP prop, so the j- ass who claims a 20 HP can do the same likely votes democrat and probably made other poor decisions throughout life!

these are intended to run in shallow water! Certainly speed and horse power is lost but neither is the lower end

Yeah they'll get on plane with less power then a V, but if you don't have enough power to get the boat on plane you're better off with a V cause it will cut through the water easier.

Id say 10mph if you're lucky. Flat bottom boats tend to plow through the water vs cut through it like a v bottom. Now if you get a bigger motor and could get the boat on plane, it will cruise pretty good. Because then its not plowing the water, you'll be riding on top of it.
