king of the touge baby just keep adding to the shelf rotary power all day everyday !!! can we all agree for a 16yr old car its still one of the sexiest cars on the road?!! people hate on rotarys so bad and this right here shows the tradition is still alive and we arent going anywhere so deal with it and all u people who own rx7's with v8 swaps ur a discrace and true rx7 owners dont give u any respect...on a side note i LOVE the j's racing s2k

@iPROFITDON so because I don't like v8's in rx7 I'm not a true rx7 fan?!? First of all just because I feel like rx7 should stay rotary is my opinion and there are plenty of owners like myself who feel the same way.for u to say I'm not a true rx7 fan cause i dont like ls7's is retarded I'm all for keeping the rotary tradition alive and not down with ls swaps,that's my opinion plain and simple. if u don't like it I really don't give a fuck Lol

@rotarydriftdreams You're obviously not a car guy, just going through the motions if just a simple swap to a V8 will make you hate the car. You're not a true RX7 fan either if all it takes is an engine swap to dislike the car and owner lol.

I love rotary engines to death, nothing sounds like them. But a V8 has it's advantages.

@therotaryrocket Hi,I guess he just said that because the RX7 was designed with a rotary in the 1st place for two main good reasons: it's lighter than a traditionnal engine but also more compact which means it can be used in a front midengined layout.Im pretty sure you knew that already but just in case.When you put a traditionnal engine in your RX you just throw that away to get fuel efficiency/engine longevity instead so losing a bit of the sporty spirit.Am i missing anything?

@rotarydriftdreams you know I like most of your comment, but why hate on V8 RX7s? I have a rotary powered RX7 and an FC with an LT1 V8 swap, both are bad ass cars, just a little different :) I still love the rotaries too, but I guess I'm not scared to think outside the box. I'd love to see a LS7 swapped FD on the togue, vs. a rotary powered, just for fun.

@nazzop Because when the designer create such parts, they have to focus on other things beside performance. They need to sell this car to the masses therefore they will try to find a balance of performance and style.

These "tuners" you know are RE Amemiya.. they are one of the best IF not the best.rotary tuners in japan. They care about Time attacks more than they do style. Their products are designed for speed and only speed. They do not have to deal with how the product look.
