Head 'n' shoulders above 99.9% of what passes for music today...

I got my first car in 1970 or 71 and Yellow River by Christie was on the radio fairly often. I cranked the volume every time it came on and it has been my favorite ever since. I never heard any more about Christie after that, and only recently discovered (through a Facebook application) that Jeff Christie has continued with his music. I do wish he would come to Vancouver as I would love to see him live. I am delighted to have found more of his music - and a video of Christie doing Yellow Riv

I had no idea he was British. I thought they were talking about the Yellow River out by
Minnesota or Iowa.

I have to be blunt
The beautiful thing is that this song, back then, was part of my life.
How do you even put a value on that?
Now it's 40 years later. Same song; no band; no mics; I get it.
But just to hear it = priceless

I Remember this song when I was discharged from the army back in 1969

You got that right the music out of the late 50's to the early 70's was the best rock and roll ever produced and nothing can touch it!!!!!!!
Well, he almost performed at the Route 66 festival last year to commemorate San Bernardino adopting Jeff's song as its anthem. At the moment, they're working on naming a street after him in recognition!
Jeff was recently interviewed on the syndicated radio program The Lost 45s, and snippets from the conversation continue to be played.
