I am extremely patriotic/nationalistic, but I don't hate other nations. I love a lot of European nations :]

wow, actually a really good speech. I'm glad I listened to this.

what if your an AMERICA HATING ANARCHIST?

@Darusdei It definitely seems that you're quoting Bernard Shaw as if he's an authority in these things and that his opinion is worth more than mine or anyone elses.
However, I do happen to agree with him. For many ignorant people patriotism is as ridiculous a thing as how he describes it there (you do know he's poking fun at 'patriots' don't you?)..

@rik78 “Patriotism is your conviction that this country is superior to all others because you were born in it.”
it definetly seems you don't know what patriotism means...

nationalism isnt about defending mistakes, its about loving your country, not its actions, and trying to make things better. all you really managed to was bring up extremists, which is bull shit on your part. nationalism is a belief in a nation and is actually just a more political form of patriotism, which is more or less just an emotion not a belief in stupidity, singed, a proud nationalist

Patriots love their country and culture and respect everyone else's.
Nationalists love their country and culture and hate everyone else's.
